25th Annual Spirituality Conference – Visitations Through the Ages

Visitations Through the Ages

featuring
Brother Mickey McGrath, OSFS

Dietrich Bonhoeffer called the Magnificat THE MOST PASSIONATE, THE WILDEST, ONE MIGHT EVEN SAY THE MOST REVOLUTIONARY HYMN EVER SUNG.

Using art and story, Brother Mickey will share images of Saints and Servants of God throughout Church History, who have modeled for us this radical image of the Magnificat, and have thus offered us hope for the ongoing future.

From Mary and Elizabeth to the prophets of today – Dorothy Day, Thea Bowman, Nicholas Black Elk, and Augustus Tolton – we will look at saintly figures who spoke truth to power, and lived out the radical call of the Magnificat.

In the interest of safety, the Upper Room welcomes you to this year’s Spirituality Conference as a “live” ZOOM presentation, which will be from 9:30am – 12:30pm. More information coming next week.

Presenter: Brother Mickey McGrath, an Oblate of St. Francis de Sales, is an award-winning artist, author, and speaker whose work celebrates the connections between art, beauty, and religious faith. He is a popular presenter throughout the US and Canada where he shares his colorful interpretations of Gospel stories and the lives of saints.
