Summer Series: Pedro Arrupe, SJ

PEDRO ARRUPE, SJ
A Man of Prayer, Vision, and Courage

In-Person or Zoom

“Nothing is more practical than finding God, than falling in love in a quite absolute, final way.  What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination, will affect everything.”
(Pedro Arrupe, SJ)

These words were spoken by Fr. Pedro Arrupe, who served as the Superior General of the Jesuits from 1965 to 1983.  He has been called a “Second Founder” of the Jesuits because he led the Jesuits in the implementation of the Second Vatican Council.  He was a courageous, visionary, and prayerful leader.

We will discuss the life, ministry, and spirituality of Fr. Arrupe, and reflect on his inspirational writings and courageous actions.  Come, learn, pray, and reflect with others.

Presenter:    Fr. Joe Kelly
Archdiocese of NY; Educator of Spiritual Directors at Creighton University

Date/Time:  Tuesday, July 26, 2022 (6:30pm–8:30pm)
